In Memory of the victims of the terrorists attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center my daughter and I made this quilt.

I will be teaching a quilting class. I pieced the project together in about 3 hours.

I am now working on a Mariner's Compass Quilt.

I took a five week Puff Quilt class starting in February 2001. Here is the finished quilt. It is a trip around the world design.

Allison, my daughter, and I took a Triple Irish Chain quilt class together. I made a lap robe quilt for my mother in green, rose and a floral fabric using a cream-on-cream print as the background. I used a thick flannel backing and 1/2 inch batting to make it as warm as possible. The quilting was aqll done by machine. I completed this one in early May 2001. I will add pictures of Allison's quilt when it is finished.

I also took a class to make a Feathered Star quilt. This was a block of the month quilt. I should finish this one in July 2001.
I am currently working on a king size denim 9 patch quilt. This one was requested by Doug. I will post pictures here when it is complete.

My daughter and I choose fabrics and the design for her quilt. She helped arrange the layout and I pieced and quilted it for her.

This is a two tone blue twin-sized quilt made with light and dark demin made for my son. The backing is flannel which makes for a soft, warm quilt. Everything on this quilt was sewn by machine, although I did baste the binding by hand before sewing it on the machine.

This turkey quilt is a foundation pieced log cabin quilt with the turkey, corn and pumpkin appliqued after the top was pieced. The foundation piecing techinque learned in this class is quick and easy. Unfortunately I finished this one right after Thanksgiving. But I will be ready for next year.

After completing the begineers class, I ventured out on my own and made two watercolor quilts. These quilts were made by arranging 2 inch spares of fabric into a picture and then sewing them together. The first one is a flowering heart design. The second one is a country view with an appliqued covered bridge on it.

This quilt was my first one made in a beginning quilting class at Sew Chic. It seemed that the hardest part was picking the fabrics. The picture shows the quilt hanging in my living room. The quilt is made of cotton material and is backed with a pink floral cotton material.

I started making quilts in September 2000. I take classes at Sew Chic in Fairmont. The ladies at Sew Chic are wonderful. The classes offer great fun and wonderful companionship, and the results are warm and cozy. Here are pictures of my quilts.
